On monday my Maxtor 30gb hard drive crashed:( Now i need a new one. I can have both at about the same price, 199$ for the Maxtor and 217$ for the WD (prices in Canadian dollars) I've had good luck with the Maxtor drives, i guess this one died from being formatted too many times in my Win98 days:D I've heard good and bad things about the WD drives, personally i cant say anything about them, i never used one before. So, if you guys could give me some advice on which to buy, that would be great! Please do so before Friday night, im going shopping on Saturday, its not a local store, an hour drive from where i live, so i dont have much choice, i work during the week. Thanks

I just used a maxtor 20 gig, ultra133 drive in my new P3 box and I'm impressed with it so far. It is running on a 40 mhz pci bus with no problems and has good data throughput.
