Thinking about buying 12gb of this stuff.

Havent found any reviews of this memory. Seems like its pretty new.
Sub $400 is a good deal I think for 12gb.

G. Skill has great customer service and lifetime warranty. I have several sets of the Pi series ram and they all run flawless. Register over at the G.Skill forums and you can check out some info on the ram.

Im wondering what CPU cooler I can fit with these sticks. Heatsinks look pretty tall.
I know the H50 would clear but Im also considering a TRUE or Megalehem...

So looks like Newegg is next best at $299
You wont be sorry. Ran 12gb of this with my Rampage 2, low volts and scales well.

I've always been partial to Mushkin however Gskill isn't too bad in it own rights.

well considering the PII's dont have tri-channel you need a different kit. if you run 3 sticks on PII that is going to be mixed mode, i think it some half crippled dual channel. amd isnt my area but since they are dual channel only, you might just get two kits at 2x4gig or find a 4x4gig kit.
one rma i had with Gskill they overnighted my new kit to me. that was fast, rma didnt take long for me to get to send in. others to consider as well are Corsair, OCZ, Muskin, Cruical. all have great customer service for RMA's.

I think the PII in the thread title is a typo.
Between that, the 12GB of RAM and the fact that the mobo he wanted costs $299 at newegg, I would say odds are 99 to 1 its an Intel set up ;)
