:D Welcome to the Forums :D

We appreciate your frustration, but be careful with the profanities, the use of which is not tolerated on this Forum.

What sort of problems are you having with you Video card?
Give us some more details on what is wrong, the driver version you are using would also help. :D

I'd bank money on a driver conflict, most likely with the SoundBlaster. Great card for sound, but it usually doesn't play well with others. Do an additional check to make sure you don't have any remnants of the GeForce drivers floating around your system, too.

Hi People,
Sorry for the off the wall title, but i have wasted a whole day on something, that on my p3 would have taken 15 mins,so i was fed up..so sorry again.....
I am running 98 se, it seem so unstable,i got the suplied driver on for the ati,but have had terrible trouble with updated ones i have down loaded...1 moment the screen is blue then its not then it wont boot and so on..
I too think it maybe the sound card so am going to have a play in a moment..
Thanks..

Try moving the sound card out first and installing the video card again... If it works then you got the problem narrowed down. Check of IRQ conflicts too those SBLive sometimes don't play nice!

Have you installed dx8 yet? The 8500 needs dx8!
Also you may want to check out the forums over at www.rage3d.com. It seems to be a great place for help and driver recomendations.

hey, b4 you bash amd casue some other part aint worken right, go try to set the same thing up on you P3 and see how long it takes. the only reason it might work is cause there is a chance the conflict is with the mobo

Good Luck!

Go to this site and read all you can about hardware conflicts you might also wat to read about which slots to install your different cards this can have an affect on your system. Did you install the 4 in 1s? Here is the SITE (http://www.viahardware.com/faq/kg7kr7/kg7kr7faq.htm)
I hope this helps you get your problem straightened out. And remember with every problem you resolve you become that much more knowledgeble.
