Windows 200 pro troubles

Hi all, wel I am back, and after the move, it seems my old 98SE disk has been damaged... SOOOOOOOOOO>>>> I am now running 2000pro (nice setup actually) BUT SETI is giving me TONS of problems...... I am getting beucoup errors, and when I try to get it to download the first wu (have installed about 5 times in past few days) it takes abotu 2-5 minutes (50K+ connection, but from Europe) before I can get berkley's goods..... Is there a seperate program or a patch for 2kpro? Any help will be, as always appreceiated! Happy crunching... hope to be back to 5WU per day soon ! Jim

I have no problems with Win 2k pro. Seti is haveing access problems though.

im running win2k without a problem

the seti server is having problems atm with regards to downloading/uploading

if you have problems after that you might have overclocked beyond the stable limits of your pc

I concur with the above posts. I have a couple of 2Kpro machines and have no problems whatsoever. The server has been causing a lot of problems during the peak times. As suggested before, you have less problems if you can hold off until the off peak times, typically after 11:30pm est.

Hang on the that 2K, once the problem is resolved you'll be better off.

You might wanna try redownload and going threw the process of re-setting it up just to make sure nothing in the past you did was wrong.

Other than that Seti's bandwidth is limited and their server is uncapped during the after midnight and early mornings in the US.

If Win2K had problems lots of us wouldnt be running it or so or any NT Kernal based NT wouldn't be running it.
