I'm rather disappointed. I'm averaging about 1/2 hour a workunit, but I'm only averaging between 25 and 31 points credit! What's the point of CUDA crunching? The machine's average credit is only 743 AND I've got two processors crunching as well! It has been up 85% of the time for the past week. I thought this thing would be kicking out a 3000+ avg.
Is there something drastically wrong here or what? HELP!
Card: EVGA GT220 1GB DDR2
NVIDIA Drivers: 195.62
CUDA Drivers: 2.2
BOINC Version: 6.10.18
S@H Version: 6.03/6.08
Did you run the unified installer from the lunatics website? What processor are you running it with? I highly recommend turning back your CPU usage, to allow the GPU some freedom... try setting it to 75% CPU usage.

Oh, knew I was forgetting something...of course they're running the optimized clients! lol
Will opening up the CPU really affect the GPU all that much? the unified installer already specifies .04 CPU usage, instead of the old .01, in the configuration files.

Just checking :D

It does have quite an effect. I find that the .04 CPU usage number is not accurate. 1 free core per gpu has become the round-about consensus. I personally turn the CPU usage down to where it is never 100%, while crunching on the GPU/GPU's and CPU. Less CPU usage has proven to be better than more usage, with regards to GPU crunching.

Hmm, then I guess the question of the day then is, "Which is more efficient in terms of overall output, dedicating a whole core to the GPU, or letting both cores crunch and letting the GPU chug along as is?" I guess I'll have to try both configurations to find out.

That depends on what system you're running this on.
The GT220 is quite a slow GPU. What CPU are you running?

My GTX260 (Which is good for 12k RAC by itself) Churns out one of those 31point WU's in about 2 minutes a piece, and without the lunatics patch it used to take about 7 minutes which would make half an hour on a GT220 without the lunatics patch reasonable.
You've got to realize that for GPGPU Computing the 220 is a very weak card with only 48 Shaders and is outpaced by cards the likes of 9600GT's and up, so Don't expect much out of it. possibly around 2.5k RAC a day, maybe a little more if you play with the clock speeds.
