My pc locks up frequently while playing games or running programs...
People told me it might be my IRQ settings... some cards that cause conflicts. Well I don't understand anything about IRQ slots!
So I need your help guys.
Here's my IRQ info:

0 Systemtimer
1 Standard- (101/102 keys) or Microsoft Natural-Keyboard
2 Programmable interruptcontroller
3 Communicationport (COM2)
4 Communicationport (COM1)
5 Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II(tm) Game Device
6 Standard-foppydiskcontroller
7 Printerport (LPT1)
8 Systeem-CMOS/Real-timeklok
9 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ-Control
9 Realtek RTL8029(AS PCI Ethernet NIC)
9 SCI IRQ used by ACPI bus
9 Standard universal host-controller for PCI to USB
10 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ-Control
11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ-Control
11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ-Control
11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ-Control
11 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ-Control
11 Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II (tm) PCI Audio Accelerator
11 NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro
11 Realtek TRL 8029(AS) PCI Ethernet NIC
11 Standard universal host-controller for PCI to USB
12 Microsoft Mouse for PS/2-port
13 Numerieke-gegevensprocessor
14 Primaire IDE-controller (single fifo)
14 Standard double PCI IDE-controller
15 Standard IDE/ESDI-hard-diskcontroller

(I tried translating it all to english and I hope I did it correctly)
As you can see some things use the same IRQ. Could this be causing the lockups ? What do I need to do to fix it ? Please help !

Some things have to use the same IRQ.

It would be great if you can go into device manager and then post us the expanded view tree of the menu so there's an exact pin point of what card is having the conflict and with what. From there we'll try to resolve it. It most likely can be resolved by moving the card around in a different PCI Slot if you haven't done so.

I had the same problem in my Abit KT7A-RAID. It had a GF2 Ultra in it. I don't think some of NVidias drivers are 100% ACPI compliant and cause lockups when sharing IRQ's. The solution for me was to flash the mobo with a bios that let me disable ACPI and that solved the problem, no more IRQ sharing and no more lockups. I suspect this problem shows up only with some combinations of drivers and hardware. You could even try updating the drivers, or using an older version for your GF ard and see if that clears up the problem.

Warning.....disabaling ACPI in bios usually means a reinstall of the OS!
