what would be the better purchase ? 1.1 ghz celeron 128 cache for $74 or the 1.1 ghz PIII copppermine for $149..................which would o/c better and which would have the more power...........i sent back the tualatin i ordered and now i have a credit..........how much difference is there between them?

Both those procs are based on the Coppermine core, so I figure they should be about the same on overclocking ability. You should be able to get between the mid 1200's to close to 1400, depending on the chip. If I were you and had the extra money, I'd get the P3 because of the cache size.
you may want to check the FSB of the PIII (133?) and the Celemine (100?), if so, you may want to see whether your MB and you would prefer to o/c from 100 or 133 onwards...as some system may have trouble beyond 133

ya ...i'd much rather have the 100fsb since 133 is as far as my m/b goes........
1.1 P3 are all 100fsb chips there are no EB's.
Personally I'd take the Celeron 1000 regardless of the cache when overclocked they preform quite well!
