Did anyone else loose sensors support with the 2.6.31 kernels? I noticed it when I originally upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 and they are still gone with this fresh install of Mint 8 x64.

I have a MSI DKA790GX board and used to have CPU temps and voltage, etc. Now all I get are GPU temps, ambient temp (both via nvidia drivers), and hddtemp. It's as if sensors dropped my mobo. Anyone else notice anything?

a) Did you run sensors-detect? B) Do you have the drivers compiled in the kernel or as modules? If running Ubuntu/Mint it should be compiled as modules.

September 20th: Have your sensors stopped working in kernel 2.6.31? Due to stricter resource checking in 2.6.31, sensors have stopped working for many people, see this FAQ entry (http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/FAQ/Chapter3#Mysensorshavestoppedworkinginkernel2.6.31 ) for why this change was made and what you can do to get your sensors working again.

The FAQ basically says to look for an ACPI module for your board, such as asus_atk0110 on Asus boards.
