Laptop help hp pavilion dv9000 cpu upgrade?

Hopefully someone out there got there hands on this same system before.. i need to know if i can upgrade to a quad 64 x4 i have never owned a amd i am an intel guy so... this laptop it has a amd turion x2 2.0 i wanna say. the motherboard is bad on it i got the whole system for 30 bucks just payed 150$ for board power button chip and duaghter cable for it .it should be comeing in soon very big and nice screen size has a dual hard drive 2 gb ram i was wondering if i can get alittle more info from what i been researching on this deal here is the model of the board it self HP Pavilion DV9000 AMd Motherboard 450800-001 also if it will support 4 gb ram? i heard these board been recalled but i guess the series i have isnt recalled i have contacted them before i ordered board so thats all i know about that thanks for any help

You can give a call to hp and find out. or you can search that model number of hp to see if it ever was sold with quad core cpu.

As goes for memory, most current systems support 4gb of memory.
