what you need to get is called a bridge. they have hardware and I believe software ones. Unfortuantly I dont know much more than that. I've never used one, nor do I know where you can get one.

I have connected the two machines, but i can only share my internet connection.Icant see the other machine(mac) from win2000.Everything is ok with tcp/ip.There must be a program which is common for both of the machnes, such us lan messaging-ppp or something. Thanks for your reply

look like you need software on the mac end. Do a search though google groups and there should lots of info. I have to do some basic mac stuff where I work but am embarressed to say I do not know more. If you see Rugby around He does know a lot about mac's in general and mac's and networking in perticular.

I know a lot about pc platforms, but nothing about mac.Every time ask an expert in pc's about that, they told me that they dont know anything about mac,and the same thing happens when i ask an expert in macintosh. It's quiet hard to find someone who knows about both of the machines.I'll have a look around for Rugby. Thanks

Rugby helped write the sticky networking faq at the top of this fourm and he keeps a large network of mac's running for a living. Plus he is a real nice guy although he did just become a father for the first time today so might be hard to find right now.
