View Full Version : loss of 2 days work on bigadv
something I installed has made the machine unstable... I got a nice blue screen of death while in the 90 percentile range on a bigadv workunit. I restarted and it deleted the workunit and started on another. :temper::temper::temper::temper::temper:
just rebooted and there's 50 processes on startup... time for a reformat :(
Soo much for 200th place by newyears
*runs off to start backup process*
That's the risk of these bigadv WU's - when you lose a WU, you lose a lot.
Best of luck, Ozzlo.

Dam that sucks there ozzlo,
Fold On!
Hold on a sec... it looks like it finished before bluescreening!!! WOOT!
anyways the computer has had some funky stability issues so I think it's time to install the real win 7 and get off the beta.
I will be back after christmas.
*edit, I finally got to look up the BSOD error code and it looks like it's related to graphics drivers...

Just a note, I was having a similar problem on one of my machines, looked up the BSOD code and said it was a graphics hardware/driver problem. Well, after many driver updates and fiddling, it turns out it was the system memory timings were too tight, nothing to do with the video. Maybe yours is different but just saying windows doesn't always know what the actual problem is.
