I need to hook up an ATX power supply to test a water cooling system, but don't want to plug it into a motherboard. Is there a way to get it to produce power without being plugged into a motherboard? I assume it's a matter of jumpering two of the pins together on the connector that goes to the motherboard, but I have no idea which ones to connect.

Thanks in advance.

Connect the green wire (the 4th wire from the left on the clip side of the MB connector) to one of the black ground wires right next to it. I start from the left and count 4 then count 3 more and connect those 2 together. That will tell the ATX supply to turn on.

The AT psu dont need the mobo to power itself , just use the switch from the case or a similar one.
