I need drivers for DVD Writer Model SH-S222, for Windows 7, any idea where I might find them?
I changed the motherboard without reinstalling and everthing seems to be working fine apart from the DVD drive, which it tells me needs the right driver installed.
It's a Samsung driver, but really I think its some no-name brand driver, the Samsung website only seems to cover laptops and DVD players/writes for televisions.
The DVD driver did work fine with Windows 7 on the old motherboard.

Hmmm, you should not need any sort of driver other than the generic Windows driver it installs. You might make sure that the IDE cable didn't get damaged in the changeover, and also double check that the IDE port on the motherboard is enabled, etc.

EDIT: although i guess if you installed WIN7 with that drive, you shouldn't need to check anything in the BIOS. weird.

There seems to have being a whole string of hardware compatability problems, I think. What caused it I gave up and went back to the original setup and all is working fine.
