What kind of company is AVL, and is AVL chips good?
I have 2 AVL PC133 SDRAM bid from the ubid.com. and both of them doesn't work. The problem is that when i plug in the AVL RAM, my computer became very unstable, Win2k and XP crash every single time. Hope i can get an answer here, thanks.

AVL is advanced validation labs, they vailidate or test different brands of memory for use in various systems.

I never heard of a brand avl, hor have I seen chips with avl on them before.

It is most likely another chip mfg's remarked.

Try using a software memory tester and see if you get errors.

Here is one:

You dont need xp you can use whatever pc you are on to post here.
It makes a floppy then you boot from that and tests the memory.
