I hit a bottleneck in overclocking my BX based/P3 Coppermine system when I installed a USB card. It seems like no matter how I try to add more USB ports, whether by an addon card or a hub, the system has a fit. I went to using a USB addon card and overclocking to 133Mhz so the PCI bus isnt being overclocked.

Im looking to upgrade and Im interested in an AMD combo where I can get FSB bus speeds at 150 to 155Mhz. Ive been out of the loop though, and like to know if the PCI dividers are still at 1/4. I would only consider overclocking if it means I can keep the PCI bus speed at 33Mhz. Is it possible with today's boards?

I dont underatand why this USB issue hasnt been more prevalent. Ive been told the USB bus does not like being overclocked, period, and that's just the way it is and if I dont like it too darn bad. If that's true how come Im the only one it seems that have issues running an O/ced system with a bunch of USB devices plugged in???

Thanks for any advice!
