I want to use my digidoc 5 temp probes to measure the temps in my water cooling system. I was thinking of installing a plastic "T" in my tubes and putting the probe in so that it was sticking out just far enough to be in the flow of the water, but not so that it impeades the flow. First of all, would this work? Secondly, what should I coat the probes with so that they are waterproof, but at the same time, still read accuractly? I was thinking of expoxy, but I do not know if it would effect the accuracy of the reading. Any suggestions?

that's precisely how i monitor one of my temps. you just want to get a small inline connector or a tee, then you wanna put the probe in there just barely into the flow area, then fill the entire area with silicone marine caulk or adhesive. make sure it's a marine type, much easier to use and dries whether it's wet or dry.
