I started to put together my water cooling kit 2 years ago,
but never got round to setting it up.
I am now in a position to do this and would welcome your views on what I intend to use..
At the time I was going to cool my core duo E6300.
I now plan on getting a new system .To start with it will be just the CPU that is w/c , but may add the graphics later if worth it.
It will comprise of :-
CPU - i7 920
Mobo - Asus P6T SE or P6TD deluxe (not sure if it's worth paying the extra )
Graphics - Asus HD5870
Memory - Corsair Dominator DDR3, TR3X6G1600C8D - 6GB(3x2GB)PC3-12800(1600)
or is there something else I should consider.
Power Supply - 850W Enermax Revolution85+ (in case I get 2 graphics card)
HHD - Samsung 750gb
mCubed T Balancer BigNG
Case - MM UFO

W/C kit that I have already :-
CPU block - D-Tek FuZion V1 with accelerator Nozzle Kit
I realize that I will need a FuZion Intel Core i7 (LGA1366) Pro-Mount Set
or should I get a Swiftech Apogee XT
Rads - 2 X ThermoChill PA160
Res - AlphaCool Cape Bullseye - Black Solo (POM)
I will be using 10mm hose and push fit connectors.
As I'm using 10mm push fit connectors is it ok to use 3/8" tubing with this
or does it have to say it's 10mm.

Items to get :-
Pump - DDC 3.2 Ultra(18w) with Plexitop.
I see they do a 3.25 now , what’s the difference.
Also does it matter what top you have on it .
I was going for the alphacool as it allowed me to add a LED in it .
Is this the best pump to get .
What is the best Pump Dampening Mounting Kit to get.

What it the best coolant to use (not coloured) and I was going to use Silver KillCoils.
How much of this do you have to put in a system.

Thanx

with silver coils you dont have to use coolant...
as far as the pump res i would go with a mcp655 and maybe swiftys microres...
actually im ordering the xt block for sys in sig ,havent tried it yet but it looks very promising, the dtek fusion is a descent block my bro has 1 and oc,s a x2 4400 to almost 3gig....

So just di water with silver coils
The res is going in 2 bays and I already have it .

10mm OD hose would be fine, if your using push fittings make sure the OD of the hose is the same as the push fitting. Exact. Don't want leaks. The two PA 140x1 rads will cool a i7 just fine. The 3.25 is just a tiny bit better than the 3.2. The XSPC tops are really good ones. Here is a shootout on DDC3.2 tops. Pump dampening kit? A bit of velcro or one of the nice mounting kits is fine. The XT is better, the V1 might not be that good on the i7, depends on your usage and overclocks.

If he wants best you are misleading him - why do you do that ?

... why don't you make sense?

how is he misleading him?! the op wants to know if he should stay with his current block or get the XT.

Conumdrum said the xt is better, which it is. and that the fuzion v1 may not keep up.

i think the v1 should handle it for the most part but the newer blocks will do better. it's up to the op to decide if he wants to spend 15 or 80.

OP- look into the XSPC plexi top, it will perform better AND has the led holes your looking for.

Thanx for all your inputs.
Does anyone know what would be the best cpu(to o/c on w/c) that I can put in my Asus P5B deluxe (skt 775) and what would it go to.
Also with the latest bios what is the fastest ram and how much could I put in.

i've heard the e8600 is a great chip for overclock, though i don't know if it's the best. ask the intel nerds lol.
