View Full Version : uh oh, ANOTHER Tualeron @ 1.6GHz+
Can you stand it??
Just popped it in after I got outta class... Didn't even wait long enough to pop the IHS off!
http://www.ameritech.net/users/rhackworth/2ndcellyt1620.jpg
Currently it's at 1.55V @ 135MHz FSB running Prime95 and current CPU temp is 37°C. Haven't found the ceiling yet! (Haven't looked too hard yet either...)

hmm... it adds 1.5MHz to the FSB from the BIOS setting. Makes it look good though!
Good job. Whats the best you posted at?
136MHz FSB is the highest I've tried so far. I set, post and run prime95 for a while. I'm leaving it right where it is until tomorrow night for a longer term burn-in/test.
Not sure if I want to wire trick this one, but on the otherhand, I would like to see how high this thing will go!
I think I'll keep the IHS attached to -- for now...
Looks like I'll have to make this my main rig now.
neat :) it looks much like you've to get at least 2 of those 1.2 celerons to be able to run 1.6Ghz. My 2nd went 1.6 much better than 1st one, though I made a better cooling too.
If the first one did 1.6GHz, I probably wouldn't have the second one. The first one currently only goes to 1.572GHz (12x131), sadly...
But the second one has been much, much better! It was still cranking through Prime95 this morning before I left for work at a temp of 37°C (with IHS intact and case open). So I fired up F@H to run along with Prime95 and went to work.
That's awesome, kinda jealous :p
Well, I've found the ceiling of this chip -- without the wire trick that is!! BIOS is set to 139FSB and voltage is 1.60V. At 140 FSB in the BIOS @ 1.60V, the system is unstable and reboots itself. Load temp is 38°C under a Prime95 (about 45 mins now)...
This thing is just phenomenal!

Guess I'll have to wire-trick it to see what more I can get. :)
Pecos, are u using exactly the same cooling with both those tualatinceles?
mine when it was running in a room temp +10*C . it does that 1680 only in unacceptaple cold conditions. <jealous>

What are you useing to cool those things, i mean 1.6 right out of the box that is one good proc.
Thermalright SK-6.
Looks like the thing will crank Prime95 and F@H and Sandra burn-in all day, but the all night Serious Sam loop flopped. The OS didn't crash, but the system was back at the desktop this morning... I can't see a reason for the vid card (GeForce256 currently) to spit up since the dividers are at 4:4:1 and I don't believe that it's a temp issue. I'll should try CPUBurn and see what temps that thing kicks it up to.
I may just kick it down a few and leave if for a week or two looping stress tests and try again... (Although 133 FSB is all I wanted originally. I'm just getting greedy now! :D)
More updates later.
**Update**
Seems the darn screen saver kicked Serious Sam out and threw the system to the desktop.
I think it's hit its limit...
RAM is at 2-2-2 7/9

Sandra 2002 Pro was used...
Wanna see a system chug? Run Prime95, Sandra burn-in wizard and a Quake3 looping test! Is it possible to get negative fps in a game!?!
Ocing Tualeron from Germany :burn:

Hey, let's toast a bier to that!
congrats, mein Freund!
Hoping I can get that with just aircooling.
Had to post this to one up the German guy ;) ! He's got watercooling, I've got Chicago area winter garage cooling.
(I do not know if it's stable at this setting yet, I just wanted some screenshots!)

oh btw, from Rio71's link, i saw some german dude got his tualatin celly to 142.83fsb..which translates to 1743! come on, put your heat and soul into it, higher it must go!

142.83x12 is only 1713.96MHz.. 1743 would be just over 145MHz FSB... That probably means that he's at 144MHz FSB in the BIOS. I wanted to check out his link, but that forum is apparently down right now.
Mine's burning through a 3DMark2k1 loop at 140MHz (BIOS setting) @ 1.75V at the moment. I'll try to bump it up more!
Do you know if that other one was air or water cooled? Not that it matters, mine's GARAGE COOLED!!
Pecos use something like Prime or CPUBurn. 3DMark is not a good benchmarking system really just made for video mainly.
Did ya vid pin it already too?
Yodums
Yep vid pinned already... I had Prime95, CPUBurn, F@H2 and Sandra burn-in all going at the same time from last night until I got home from work earlier this evening. I'm rotating apps. ;)
Okay, wouldn't boot at 144MHz FSB (BIOS), but hit 143MHz FSB (BIOS)... Not sure if my mem was set to 2-2-2 when I tried 144 or not...

I'm back to 600MHz burning now...
Damn, didn't notice that I caught the real time speed analyzer in a blink!!

hehe, my bad, it is 143.83mhz, i mean the german dude. ok, we are only 1 mhz short for tie, and 2 mhz for beating them......gogogo!!:D

Guess you all forgot what I got my cel-t 1.2GHz to then eh?
Check this out!

How about 153MHz FSB? I hit 155MHz before this also.

Guess you have to cut and paste the links. Here is something for ya all to chew on though:D
That just sickens me to the bottom of my stomach ol'man :D

I must say...you guys are truly savages :p
I AM SOOOOO WOUNDED!

His says PIII Xeon because he was using an older version of WCPUID at the time. The latest one recognizes the Tualerons properly.
Somehow, I don't think that I'll hit that 1.84GHz mark unless I charter a plane to Vostok, Antartica, the coldest place on earth (http://www.weatherwatchers.org/weird/coldest.html), where it's a mild -38°C at this time -- with a -52°C windchill!!
That's enough to cause some shrinkage!:D

dont worry Pecos, u and i both know that ol'man is an extrordinary man when in terms of ocing skill, and don't be discouraged, for you are only using air cool:D hey ol'man, what are u using for cooling? air? H2O? garage? severe weather? or you know...that thing starts with "N" perhaps? :p
