The PC games of early 2010

Which ones are you guys looking for in early 2010?

I guess we can look for the games that we know will come out in the following one to three months or so.

For me, it will be as follows:

Mass Effect 2
Bioshock 2
Alien VS. Predator
Napoleon: Total War
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
Metro 2033
Command & Conquer 4

What about you? I'm just curious, maybe I'll see some games mentioned that I forgot about.

to be completely honest, really none of those games appeal to me at all... i think ill just chill on some 08/09 games for next year :)

Assasin's Creed II (hasn't seem to come out yet so i'm guessing it's a '10 game.

I have to admit, I feel the same way. Besides Mass Effect 2, I doubt that I'll play any of those games. I will however be looking forward to Starcraft II (which I don't think comes out in 2010) and Diablo III. 2010 will mostly be console stuff for me, considering Gran Turismo is FINALLY being released, God of War III, AND a new final fantasy. Guess I'll be WoWing mostly on my PC lol

As much as I'd like to hold out for Assassins Creed 2 on the pc for the better visual experience, I'm at a tossup and might feel better about rocking the 360 controller for it. Guess we'll check the price point on 360 closer to the pc release date :) So, I guess I'm not really looking forward to anything so far :( Unless hell freezes over and bursts forth in the form of Diablo 3, my pc might take a back burner.

I am for all of those, except maybe C&C 4, didnt really like 3 all that much. Also never played the original AVP games, so no idea on those.

As for me, I am mainly shooting for ME2, STALKER, Assassin's Creed 2, and most likely Metro 2033.

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot about this game. Divinity 2. If any of you guys remember the Diablo clone Divine Divinity made few years back. Well Divinity is the true sequel to it, Beyond Divinity was more an offshoot. Look it up, it has already been released in EU. Really looks good.

Bioshock 2. WoW: Cataclysm. Maybe SC2.

Diablo III won't come out in 2010, so don't have to worry about that on this list.

I'm a sucker for MMOs, so I'll probably try the big ones that come out. SW:ToR. The Secret World (if that's slated for a 2010 release, not sure), even though I'm afraid of anything made by FunCom. Whatever else comes out as well.

Only games I know of that I'm interested in in 2010 are Battlefield Bad Company 2, Stalker Call of Pripyat (even though I've played it through in Russian :D) and Starcraft 2.

I have a hard time getting excited for a game when the previous game was so terrible. I tried playing STALKER clear sky on my old rig (Q9450 @ 3.6Ghz and crossfired 4870's), and I couldnt even get the framerates into the playable range. No matter what I did to the settings the game lagged out constantly at 20-25 fps during action.

I was dissapointed because the game had good visuals, and had alot of potential. It was coded horrible, and the bugs were just too much to play through. Hopefully the next one is better :)

I've no idea regarding whom this is directed at however it could be seen as provocation, :temper: to which some people react and no matter which way you intend the comment has minimal value to the thread.

I wish I could say I was hoping for Diablo III to come out in 2010. But sadly I know its not going to be the case. Really I'm only looking forward to Bioshock 2. I've got to hunker down and pull my grades up before I can really be looking into games again.

After that, AC2, then Bad Company 2. I'm a little skeptical of Bioshock 2. I'll wait for reviews first. Later on, Mafia 2 looks like it could be good. Max Payne 3 maybe? The Old Republic if it makes it out by the end of the year. WoW: Cataclysm because my wife will make me reactivate...again.

The sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl is Call of Prypiat, so Call of Prypiat is effectively STALKER 2, but maybe you mean a sequel to Call of Prypiat instead, that would be STALKER 3 basically. And how do you know that GSC is presently developing a new STALKER title?

Well, there's SoC, the prequel CS and the sequel CoP.

Got spoiled after seeing some DX11 benches in real time. Now I'm disappointed that so few games are going to utilize it in 2010.

Aside from that though, the new AvP should turn out to be good in multiplayer.. not sure about any other game yet. Single player ME2 will be fun, but even ~100 hr long SP games I finish within days if I go hardcore. So I hardly count single player games as much of a longterm thing.

I have to agree with you man. I still haven't enjoyed all the games of 2009 yet, and there's games I still would like to enjoy that I've never found time for, some from about 3 years ago.

All the new games coming out don't appeal to me at all - I honestly believe that gaming (Whether its PC or Console) has come to an end in creativity...its all been down 100 times before.

It has been like that for the last 10 years. It is all about refinement and telling their own stories in their own method and style now.

I'm such a huge fanboy of the AvP series. I started playing it when it first came out on the snes and it was history from there. Already got it on pre-order, but I don't think that any of the other games appeal to me. I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed II and man is that a great game!
