I'd like to hear your thoughts on what you feel is the best thermal paste for tec's and why. Also, does the application thickness vary at all from normal cpu die usage?

Thanks:)

ArcTic Silver II because it`s the best. Use a thin amount. Thats what I was using when I had my pelt on.

I've been reading that ASII forms a foil like layer when exposed to extremly cold temperatures which actually hinders heat transfer. Does AS3 do the same?

Thanks all

I don't know about AS2 or AS3 but I had this problem with the original AS. I run a chilled water setup (no pelt) with water temps in the -15 to -25 range and after a couple of weeks my system would start to become unstable and I would have to keep lowering the clock speed. A fresh appilcation of AS would restore me to full speed. After repeating this a few times I just went with the plain old white silicone goop and have not had to take it apart ever since.

I would give AS3 a shot though because it is a beter medium for thermal transfer and also not everybody has had this problem.
