Hey i wanna overclock my cpu from 500 to about 600-650 i am told its possible with out going to extreme one thing i dont know is what to set the CORE voltage setting at. Its and Athlon 500 Slot A, running in an ASUS K7M the jumpers are set to CPU defualt as of now....

just use the default setting first. Then if it seem unstable just bump the voltage up a little.

The default should be 1.7v - you can push it to about 1.85v safly - after that there are power and heat issues.

If I remember correctly u have to have a GFD (golden fingure device) to be able to change the multiplier and the Vcore on the Athlon "classics".. u'll have to strip the CPU from its casing to install the GFD... though u can always work ur FSB up..
