Alright so I was taking a look at my article due to be posted today just to see what all got edited at the last second, and I found a few typos. Can they still be fixed by me at this point, and how do I do it without accidentally posting the article?

Glad you got it. As long as it's still in "Draft" status, you or your Content Editor can edit it. Once it's put in Pending Review, only the four editors can make changes. If there are more than minor formatting/spelling/grammar/etc. issues (things that the author/CE should either be aware of or needs to change), we'll move it back to Draft for you.
Additionally, if anyone thinks of things they need to change/add after it's been placed in Pending Review, just notify one of us and we'll bump it back down for you, no problem.

^ What he said!
As an added note, you cannot accidentally publish anything. If it shows the publish button to you, it won't actually publish if you hit it but it will put it in pending review status - I've locked down the rights to ensure you can't make any mistakes that would be publically visible. :)
