Hey guys :)
Well, its not really a problem, but its kind of bugging me..
I have an old 64gb gskill ssd, and when I first got it, windows gave me a 6.6 in the index.. I just ran it again last night, and its now down to a 5.9. Ive tried reinstalling 7 3 times last night, and I get the same anwer each time..
Did I possibly do something wrong in the past with it? It was never the best performing ssd, but my dam raptor x gets a 5.9..

windows index is not a benchmark tool.
just skip it.

F the WEI. Seriously. Its about as consistent as my son is potty training...

lol ok :)
I guess its kind of like how my old 295 got a 7.9 in the uei, and some people were like wtf.. My 4890 gets a 7.6, but my 285 gets a 7.4..
Its wacked y0.
Either way, Im still somewhat satisfied with it.. Its silent! 1 raptor is loud, I was running 3 in raid, now that is loud.. Basically this is about as strong as 2 Raptor ADFD's in raid0, but with the natural benefit of ssd's.

EXACTLY... no doubt.
Yeah, the fact that the WEI is useless isnt helped by threads named "post your WEI" score created a short time ago. But hey....Ive started up some silly threads in my time too, we are all not immune, just not in 'the know', ya know?!! Thr toughest part for some is admiting they are wrong. (not you free ;))
SSD has probably degraded in performance. Your drive doesnt support TRIM. Id suspect that on a fresh install, it would be back up to stock speeds.
I agree WEI isnt a good benchmark and not consistent, but it wont drop that much unless the drive seriously lost some performance numbers.
How full is your drive also? If its over 80% full, thatll hurt you as well, especially without TRIM.

What does ATTO say about the drives performance?
