Is there any way to get Windows Media Center for XP so it can be detected on an Xbox 360? I kind of doubt that there is but I figured I'd ask anyways.

If your asking if a 360 can be a front end for Media Center 2005 (XP) the answer is yes it can. Had mine set up for almost 2 years until I got a DirecTV dual tuner hd dvr. I miss my media center setup though.

HERE (http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/Xbox_360_DivX_XviD_Playback_Guide_page1.html) is a link to set up video sharing across a network that includes a pc and an XboX360. This is the way I set it up so I can watch videos from my laptop thru my XboX on my TV. Much more convenient than moving my laptop beside the TV and connecting the d-sub and audio cables.

I don't use Media Center for my Xbox, I use a program called TVersity (http://tversity.com/). Easy to use, definitely worth checking out.
