hey guys.
my friend (Rezman5) and i have been looking to buy new vid cards. we couldnt decide between these two: GeForce 3 Ti200 or Radeon 8500. it turns out, he went with the GeForce3, and i did the Radeon 8500. We are hardcore gamers who want good performance, and to be able to OC. which card is better?
as far as we can notice from benchmarks, up to now 8500 is better; anyway in my opinion the ti200 has no chance at all to get paired with the 8500.

Except for compatibility ,and the fact that most ti200's overclock to near or more then ti500's default speeds ,got min to 233/533.
I would go with nvidia for driver support more then anything.

that would be a hard decision if i was in the market for one of both cards. if i needed to make a quick decision, right now, id say ti200 either. only because i also enjoy the frequent driver updates and all the possibilities we got from that when any compatibility problem occurs. they really can overclock pretty well, i forgot that when answering above. but 8500 also overclocks.. anyway, ti200 will suit just fine all the current game needs. it coudlnt be a wrong decision.

id go with the 8500 because you get more bang for your buck....it also overclocks very well......

ah yes, but right now my 3DMark2K1 scores are higher than his...he is having trouble getting a stable OC on his vid card. I am about 100 points more than him...sorry Cypher!!! Keep trying!!!
