View Full Version : Win2k won't boot up??
One of my staff has WIN2K pro and it won't boot up, it goes to the logon screen then it reboots everytime.
I've tried this so far;
safe mode
last known config
recovery console (replace system file)
she doesn't have a ERD.
what else can i do??
thanks
have you tried going through the install and selecting repair a windows instalation? after you go through the four setup disks this option shows up.
if all else fails you might be able to load windows 2k on the drive twice. I think if you write over the current installation this happens and its not good to run like this but you should be able to get in to pull off all of your important files.
it could also be a hardware problem. i think i had something like this happen when i wasn't getting enough voltage. how old is the computer?
can you give more details including hardware specs.
try setting your bios to failsafe, or default?
