Strange Problem

Norton Antivirus Just found the Loveletter virus in some files, in the ms office directory. Its cleaned them up. The problem I now have is that Printers and Control Panel and being shown like below.

Anyone have any ideas how to sort this out, without having to reinstall. I would rather not reinstall, as it would mean SETI down time. :mad:

looks like a reinstall but see if you can't do a repair first. is that 2k? if you have sp2 on disk try reinstalling that first. i take it you put on norton after you got this email?

one other idea. i think you can chage the folders to windows 98 style without the left side descriptions and previews. try that first if you dont mind the look.

I had norton Running, I think the virus came from a File Sharing Program I was Using, I'll Try the sp2 thing again. Thanks


** Edit, reinstalling sp2 didn't work, looks like a reinstall, i'll use the 98 trick for now**

I found the solution.

The files in the WINNT\WEB folder were bad, so copied them from a different computer and it solved the problem. :D
