Recommendation????

Okee dokee, filed taxes yesterday, got it today, burning a hole in my pocket too. Any recommendations for a mboard, cpu and some memory for say around 400 to 500 bucks? Looking to go athlon and some ddr memory. Help an old man spend his money!! I have been looking around and though I would ask the best source in town first.:beer:

Always get a nice Motherboard... My Soyo Dragon is one nice toy! It has features up then Wazoo, and it uses the KT133A chipset.
For a CPU, I'd say Yodums has it right... XP 1700 will do you well.

I'd go with Crucial PC2100 RAM. It is easy to order form www.crucial.com. and they have fast(I think it's free) shipping.

So here's some average prices on these things, I'm sure there are better deals at www.pricewatch.com
