does anyone know how to convert bitmap images to jpeg images or does anyone know of a site that you can download the software to do it.

You can use several programs on a trial basis that will convert bmp to jpeg...Paint Shop Pro 7 from Jasc, and Photoshop LE...

My favorite viewer/converter is ThumbsPlus ( www.cerious.com ).
It handles conversions between just about every format & is great at helping you organize your graphics files. It's primary function is NOT photo editing but it does give you some basic editing capabilities & a few special effects.

I believe this will do it it is free and you can convert images and many other things try it.
