I'm pretty sure I heard there was a way to mod a promise ultra100 to be like a fasttrak100. anyone know anything or got a link? also, are there any disadvantages to this? or any other way to mod some other controller into a raid controller. thanks.

There was a way to mod the ATA-66 card to a raid controller. It was done by grounding out on of the posts on the bios chip. I think the same can be done on the ATA-100 card, but I can't verify this. If you do it, or find anything keep us updated.
