MICROPHONE not MICROPHONING!!??

My Microphone is part of a headset that I picked up at the local Business Depot.

When I first got it, I plugged it into my SB LIVE 5.1 and I worked fine.

Now, out of nowhere, it doesn't work. I am sure that Microphone part is working, so it must be a software thing. Any ideas?

I just reinstalled the drivers, and ii still doesnt work. I just tried it on my Half Life Voice Tweaker, but it didnt work there.

Any ideas would help.

Actually I dont know!

I shut that down as soon as it started up!

It looks like it is on......the Micrphone icon is Selected (Yellow).

It still doesnt work though.

The Mute switch on my mic cord was set to Mute.......damn I feel stupid!
