They are the basically the same program, use the same users and work in the same way. Just have slightly different colour interfaces.
Stay away from Kaaza it has built in spyware!
so kazaa wont also shut down like morpheus? is there a way i dont know to do this? what i want is to close it only once. i remember when using some previous version of it i used to disconnect then to close it, this way it would really close. but this wont work with the last version anymore.

Can't discuss P2P (Peer to Peer) file sharing programs here. Sorry guys, I got warned about this before as well.

oh i didnt know
I've discussed the issue of P2P programs with other Mods and it seems to me that technical questions regarding these programs are appropriate.
However, any reference to materials downloaded by these programs will result in a warning, for those with a previous occurrence, it will result in a 3-day ban from the forums.
Discussions regarding these programs are also inappropriate for the forums. They need to be kept to ICQ, email, AOL, etc...i.e. any other form of communication other than Overclockers.com resources.
The threat of warez and other forms of illegal copyrighted materials is too sensitive a topic to be brought into the forums which includes any means of obtaining these materials. I know you will understand our stance in this.

Kazaa and Morpheus use the same principles as Gnutella/Gnotella. As in, no central server to shut down. While they have both the same features, they are two different programs on two different networks.
The way Gnu/Gno works is very similar to Kaz/Morph. Using a reserved IP address or "Hostcatcher". You send a signal out to that IP, who in turns sends out the signal to three others, and those three send the singal out to seven others each, so on and so forth. That forms the network. That is Peer to Peer Networking, where the network is only as fast/slow as your connection and the other computer you are downloading from. Anyway I heard on the Kim Komando radio show that Kazaa is back on.

I don't know y those ppl even try to stop em, theres too many diff programs out there, before they kill 1 there already 4 new ones up :P
I use WinMX for all my file sharing. Seems better then the rest in my opinion. Very reliable.

DC is good But its a bit unstable and you can only d'load the same file from one user at a time.
