Hi there :-),
Hope you are doing fine there and below is the information you need to follow to help you with this issue you have.
Please follow these 2 informations offline meaning you are not sign on to your AOL.
Please click Start, Settings and Control Panel. Double-click on the Internet (or Internet Options) and select the General tab. Click on the Settings button in the Temporary Internet Files section and choose View Files. Hold down the CTRL key and press the letter A at the same time. Once all of the items are highlighted press the Delete key, confirm that you want to delete the files, and click Ok. Click Ok at the next prompt also. Then you can follow the instruction below on how to adjust your Hardware Acceleration offline meaning you are not sign on to your AOL.
You can then adjust your Hardware acceleration to basic as follows.
1.) To work around this behavior, reduce your video graphics acceleration setting:
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
2.) Click the Performance tab, and then click Graphics.
3.) Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to one notch from the left (the Basic accelerator functions setting).
4.) Click OK, and then click Close.
Click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer.
After restarting your computer and start it up again, before you launch your AOL , I would suggest for you to press the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys in your keyboard then a window will comeo ut and from this window end task all the programs you see from there accept"EXPLORER and SYSTRAY" and you can end task other programs even the SYSTRAY by highlighting them and then press on the end task button then launch AOL and sign on to it and you are all set on this :) Please do the End Task procedure everytime you launch and sign on to your AOL and you are all set :)
AFTER FOLLOWING THE ABOVE INFORMATIONS, YOU CAN SIGN ON TO YOUR AOL 7.0 TO PURGE YOUR ARTWORK.
Please click on SETTINGS, then select PREFERENCES. Click on the option FONTS, TEXT & GRAPHICS . Reduce the MAXIMUM DISK SPACE TO USE FOR ONLINE ART to 1 megabyte by clicking the down arrow. Click OK and SIGN OFF and EXIT AOL. Restart AOL and, following the steps above, reset the MAXIMUM DISK SPACE TO USE FOR ONLINE ART back up to 40 megabytes

My Dad's AOL wasn't giving that frontpage aol has when you first sign on. So I kept telling him , duh...aol should come with the tag line "for dummies" I just uninstalled 7.0 and it works fine now :D
