Not much of a mod really, just had idea that I'm almost positive won't work but thought I'd ask. I have an old thermaltake cpu cooler just sitting in a corner, useless for my cpu but could I put it on the back of my 5750? I have the his ati radeon icooler IV 5750.

By this I mean, can i just sit it on top of my card? It would cause a short wouldn't it? I want to sit it on top of the back of the core to get my temps lower for future overclocking. ( Even further, I'm at 910 core and 1265 mem)

This wouldn't work would it?

EDIT: There isn't enough room between my card and my cpu cooler so never mind.

Depending on the CPU cooler, it might be better than the stock cooler on the 5750. It might be worth your while to see if you can replace the stock cooler with it (after some modding).

why would you have wanted a cooler that large on the back of your card.. i;d rather try to replace the stock hsf/fan with a big puppy like that!

There wasn't enough room between my cpu cooler and the graphics card anyway, so nvm.

its from my experence that the type of stock cooler on this card works better if you take the plastic shroud off of it and while still using the stock fan have a seccond fan blow across it from another angle, with the direction that the fins are going (legenth wise)

I'll try that, thanks for the suggestion.
