Hello everyone
I saw here lots of people with a lot of knowledge in "the art of overclocking" and i need some advice from those people . I have recently bought an Asus p5n-d and i need help getting my e2160 at least at 3ghz. Can some one here post what should i do in bios?

Ram 798mhz

If i go x9 so freq would be 3.0ghz windows won't boot.

Can someone help me out please ?

Thanks

Besides the P5N-D and E2160, list the rest of your system spec's including a direct link to your specific RAM (showing SPD timings and voltage, including quantity).

Changed fsb to 1180 from 800 so the bus speed is now 295 X9 and core speed 2655. ram 840mhz but i only changed fsb and unlinked the ram.
If i go higher with the fsb it won't run orthos stable.
What should i do ?

Change the FSB - Memory Ratio from 7:10 to 5:4 for an effective 737MHz DRAM frequency, or loosen the four primary timings to 5-5-5-15 at 840MHz on the current divider.

So if ill put the mem ratio to 5:4 i could go higher with the fsb so the ram freq will stay in the 800mhz area. Any other setting i need to enable/disable because the bios is untouched besides fsb and memory ratio.
