The tnt2 isnt a great card but you should be able to run max payne ok. My friend has an old 8mb card and he runs it at a lower resolution when playing some games.

I had a Pine 32 meg TNT-2. It wasn't bad, but I like my GeForce 2 much better. I'd reccomend a little bit better card if you can possibly manage it. But if you do get one, use the 21.83 Nvidia detonator drivers, and use NvMax to overclock it. Don't bother with the 23.11 Detonators, they won't work right with the TNT-2.

Not a great card...I'm running a 32 meg version(backup of my Kyro 2, which is being RMAd, which was a backup of my Prophet 3, being RMAd :( ) it will run Max Payne, but don't expect it to go above 640x480 with low settings...

Personally I wouldnt' recommend it...mine is running at stock speeds and in windows I get little black dots appearing on the screen if I leave it idle at anything above 1024x768x16. It's just not a great card, you could overclock it, but you should probably stick a decent heatsink on there.

I had good luck overclocking both of the TNT-2 cards that I've had. Just don't get crazy! I can't tell you numbers, I don't remember. But I did achieve a significant performance boost. Just go up a little at a time. If you start seeing white specks in your game, your memory is too high. If it locks up, the chip is too high. If the card has a fan on it, (and it should) taking it off of the chip and applying thermal grease would be a good idea. Artic silver would be even better. Spending money on a better fan would not be a good idea , in my opinion. If you have money for a better fan, you have money for a better card. 32 meg AGP TNT-2's go for around $20.00 or less on ebay, so don't pay more than that!
dont get it!!
you cant play max payne with a tnt2! it will run but you wont play, if you know what i mean. a geforce2 mx would be a much better deal. unless youre planning to play only three or four yrs old games a tnt2 wont be a good choice, really. try saving a few more money and get something better. :)

you got good score from yours but the system you have has all the merit. also, not everyone will get that high frequencies.
today, even with a high-end system that will push up poorer video cards, a tnt2 is not a good deal anymore. if money is a concern, a mx-400 32MB still is a far better deal.

Yeah, if you're wanting a capable video card, I would look at nothing less than a GeForce2 MX400. The GeForce2 GTS'es are still damn nice cards and they're well under $100 for a 32 MB DDR version...
I, however, will be picking up a GeForce3 Ti200 once I get around to building my new box.
