and i went and spent all my cash on a HOOT CHUTE!
hehee i guess thats what you all call em.but thats the setup ive seen posted and called that here so its what i call it now!
see how bad influences you are?! anyhow its worken great so far on my table. ill keep her there for 1 or 2 days for leak/failure check.
ordered a Z4 block for my cpu be here next week.ill post some temps just so you guys can keep me in check.
i did find out if you do your homework you can actually build something that works plus i saved a crap load of money.i was gonna just order a kit origanally. expensive for lower standard equipment usually. if its top notch it was out of my budget.but i thought was my computer a kit? whos gonna work on this me or some guy in timbuktu?
parts fast run down.
6x6 all copper heater core-$29 at auto zone
350gph danner mag drive-around $45 bucks on sale at petland-that was %40 off!
5/8" hosing. then tapered at my cpu hook up to 1/2"
some water wetter-$4.88 at pep boys on sale!
you dont need my small details im sure.but it was one heck of a experiance. i hit proble 6 stores just getting parts -that doesnt count my prevous trips researching prices. even the guy at the last place in my trip was to a local hardware store got al my fittings and even sweated my elbows for free!. hey i gave him a $5 tip for dat. i appreciate good service.
only bad experiance was one internet company who only answered thier phone once in 3 days i tried ordering my leufken waterblock and that time they said to call back at 4 pm. lol noone answered at 4 either! 3 messages to that place i didnt mention.
sorry to rag em but geeeez. if its a personal matter that needed attention at thier store ill appoligize publicly here.
but overclockers-hideout was gracious enough to sell me one of there great Z4's. im gonna love it aint i? plus they were most helpfull in helping me get a product that really isnt easy to obtain.
actually i couldnt find one in the whole state of ohio for sale! i was gonna drive and pick it up btw.
if you think i did something wrong with part of that setup pass it on so i can make canges now.http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62917 there is a pic in that thread is exactly how i set it up.
thanks again guys for all the help. i couldnt have done this without oc.com! :p
