So I recently revived my "old" laptop (still faster than 90 percent of the laptops out there). I have upgraded the ram and put a hard drive i had lying around in it and I have fallen in love with it once again.

The only thing I don't like about it now is the old wireless card (only 802.11b and g and no bluetooth). I was wondering if I could get a new NIC card for it that would support wireless n and bluetooth
how much should they cost? I think my nic card is plugged in via mini pci express, is there anyway to check (I know it's removable)

yank it out and look for serial #s etc.. best way to find out what it is.. or try everest, whch might tell you that info w/o removing.. as for getting new ones .. you can get a bluetooth dongle for like 20bucks from the egg and instead of pci slot go for the pc card slot ones from the egg..another 20ish and you're set newegg laptop PC slot cards (http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=34&name=Laptop-Networking)

I actually just bought a bluetooth adapter for my laptop tonight. It works well, but I was hoping to get an internal solution
Thanks for the reply

Is there any place rather than ebay to get this

Ebay would be the cheapest route.

When I wanted an internal bluetooth solution I came across a website that sold dell parts and they wanted $49 for it. Bought it off ebay for $10.

I'm not 100% sure they make wireless n mini-PCI cards (not the pci express) WITH bluetooth built in.
