error code

play settlers IV. Just added a ge force400mx now I get a error code that reads oxc0000005 at ox00000000 when I try to play it.Any one know why? Thanks either way. spop

try looking for some patch. what was your previous vcard? install the latest reference driver and lookf for the patch, many games fix issues like this with the patches.

My old v card was a banshee.What so funny it give the error shut down but i can start it right back up with out rebooting or any thing.But only last for about 4to5min. then does it again

i dont know that game, what is it, direct3d or opengl?

I think it's direct 3d.Played fine with the banshee.Infact it play ok now for the 1st couple of hours.Then it messes up

ok. its important to know if you get problems running other direct3d games too. after that, if the problem is only about settlers you can try looking for some patch of the game. you can also try reinstalling directx and the game itself.
be sure youre using the latest nvidia reference driver and that your d3d driver settings have what the game needs to run, things like fog table etc.
problems like that can be due to a lot of things, the most important is to know if you get problems only running the same game.

In addition to "oTTO's" excellent suggestions, it would be helpful to us in trying to diagnose the problem you're having...if you could include your system specs, the OS you're running, the exact error message you're receiving, and anything else that you think might help us in determining your problem.;)
