The powerleap/1.2 Celeron should be a little faster out of the box than the 1.1 Coppermine. The powerleap slotket that it runs on doesn't overclock very well without doing some mods to it though. With the Celeron 1.2 you do have a future upgrade path with a new motherboard that will allow a lot better overclocking with Tualatin chips. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the powerleap slotket will also run regular coppermine chips so you could later sell off your present motherboard with a regular coppermine or celeron proc in it too, so you could get a Tualatin capable mobo.

I'm not a huge fan of the Powerleap. Some people get them to work, some don't. Support is less than stellar. For the cost of the Powerleap setup, you can buy a new CPU/mobo. If you sell your old mobo, it will cost less. I'd rather have a mobo with proper Tually support, overclocking capabilities, AGP 4X, ATA100, etc.

Think of this: C1.0A retail $73. Decent 815 E mobo, $80 - $100. Easy overclock to 133 FSB = 1.33 Ghz. The faster bus speed, and higher MHz will smoke the C1.2 for the same or less price. Sell the BH6/CPU combo and it will be much cheaper.

While the motherboard used was a BH6, you might want to look at this thread. (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=28&threadid=663881)
