everyone seems to be sold out of them, jabtech, petra's, and PPC's.

Yeah, I looked at my usual cooling suspects and ran across the mount in stock at FrozenCPU (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8629/bra-37/D-Tek_LGA_1366_FuZion_Pro-Mount_Brackets_-_Core_i7_PMBRKT-1366.html). At least he is showing stock on it. And that's the only place I found it in stock at of all my usual cooling haunts too.

Why not just get a new block? Fuzion V1 begins to show its age with the i7 processors.

I thought the adapter is cheap.. damn it,, $22 i can buy almost a new one lol

what block do you recommend for i7?
I plan to push to at least 4.0ghz for folding 24/7

For i7, the popular choices at the moment are:

Heatkiller 3.0 (either CU or LT - copper vs. delrin - LC has lower performance)
Apogee GTZ/XT (previous is cheaper, pretty good bang for buck; XT has almost best performance iirc)
EK Supreme LT or HF (same as GTZ/XT)
Enzotech Sapphire.

You should be able to sell the V1 and step up to one of these. With the right radiator, these will keep them nice and cool as they fold away.

i have Blackice extreme 3 and MCP665 i think should be fine with i7

Yeah, rad and pump should be good to go. And yeah, D-Tek is pretty much overpriced for that adapter kit too. And Frozen looks to be making some money on shipping if he's charging $7 for shipping. You or me could ship it for $5 with the small flat rate box at usps and as much crap as he sells I'm sure he can get better rates than us.
