am using a pcram (samsung chipset-says in sandra) DDR, ive up'd the FSB to 140, while adding +.20 on the vdimm voltages... higher FSBs than that it wont boot to windows... do you think a generic DDR kud handle an FSB of 140? if yes, do i have any possibilty of burning it? I have a case temp of 35C and cpu temp of 50C, if that matters. Please tell me ur thoughts on this. Thanks.

Looks like everybody's using branded DDR :D
You get what you pay for with ram.
How much can generic DDR/memory handle? Well you never really know until you try. Drop the Multiplier & see how much higher you can get with the FSB. Dropping the Multiplie will let you see if the FSB is stable without having to worry about clockspeed.

Mine is a "PC Ram" Brand with a Hyundai chipset. It allowd me to oc up until 140fsb. More than that it wud crash or wont boot to windows... looks like my memory's holdng me back.
One more thing, I have upped the vdimm a bit, like +.20v from default... do u think i kud fry this thing with those voltages? and given that this ram is generic/lo quality?
Oh before i forget, i haved oc'd my ram up to 140 all with agressive timings... looks lyk i have to buy a good one for me to have high yields... what do u guys thing of Samsung DDR?
I played with a 8KHa+ a few months ago & after raising the mem voltage to max the sticks did get hot & soon locked up. Some people dont have any heat issues with the higher quality modules as far as O/Cers.com members are concerned. Do you have Kingmax DDR333 in the Philippines? Best DDR in the market IMO.

shucks! they dont sell those here. the only DDR thats available are Apacer and Pan Ram. Am not really sure if those are good quality. what if i slapped on a ram sink on my mem stick wud it help achieve a more higher FSB?

Just talked to someone there, Manila, & they do sell Kingmax DDR333. If you can afford them go for it. They also have Elexir(NANYA), Infineon & PQI from what Ive been told. Ramsinks would be a good idea IF they do get hot. Do a search for them here at the forums & you will see a few threads on it.
my generic ram i got at frys has gotten me up to 151 FSB.
It was 19 bucks a stick
