hi i am planing to change my pc with i will xp333r v2.1 and athlon xp1800. for the memory i can get 2X 256 pc 2700 kingmax 5ns
or 2X 512 generic pc 2100..

which one is worth it..because 2X512 mb pc 2100 only 50 bucks more than kingmax

i would have to recommend going with the brand name memory. i've seen (and heard of) entirely too many problems resulting from generic ram, which wouldn't make the 1gig of generic worth it in the long run  still your call

Welcome to the forums,
I vote the 2x256 kingmax.
I have the iwill xp-333 and have seen many people with problems using generic memory on it.
The kingmax works fine.

I would probably go with the Kingmax, I have never used any, but my friend has some and is is great. I have used Generic, and you dont want to go down that road, trust me

Add another vote for kingmax. I have heard only good things about it, plus it is 5ns and PC2700. Hope you get a great OC!

i am not sure you can go to www.newegg.com and look them up...look to see if there are user ratings for them for pros and cons on the each of them...you can get the prices too...its a great place to buy from on the net
