View Full Version : Is it possible to mount a 120mm fan on a swiftech mcx462 heatsink?

I was wondering is it possible to do a modification to the heatsink so that I can fit in a 120mm fan or a 92 mm fan on top of it...The reason for that is because I need more cfm with low dba and the bigger the fan, the better for me...Thx for your help.

there isnt a 120-80 adaptor =P

no, but you can build one... I've seen them built out of everything from scrap lexan or plexiglass, to thin sheet metal, to plant pots (that's what I used... hehe :D).

and i just built my own 60-80fan adapter!
and you could make the same type thing with 120mm fan!
