Alright I have some old parts I am putting together for a folding box, nothing more. I would like to fold, both cpu and gpu. Now the 2 cards that I have handy for this is an Nvidia quadro fx 1000 or an Nvidia 7600 GS. Which do you think would handle folding the best? The stats are almost the same but the architecture is different. Anyone on here folding with a quadro?

You need at least an 8xxx series Nvidia card to fold with. And there have been some people who have trie with the quadro, but it depends on which version it is as to whether or not it will fold. I don't know how to tell the difference with the quadros.

google nVidia CUDA cards and it should take you to a nvidia site that shows ALL of the CUDA capable cards (as long as they have at least 256mb video ram), including Quadro.

Neither of the cards you list is CUDA compatible.

yeah I don't think my choices here are good for folding. Thanks tho. I will have to just get a video card capable of folding.
