That review site "recommends" it, and also notes that it has no DVI port.

It has an HDMI port...which is actually better for all intents and purposes

It would be nice if review sites would do more quantitative contrast and brightness tests on monitors...

This is the same LCD that Best Buy had on sale I think back in March. ill see if I can find the thread. I paid 250 for mine and love it. Now that I have a 5850 I think I might pick up 2 more to game with.

Yes and it is 1920x1080

Does the 5850 have limitation with HDMI- one DVI port is disabled if you use HDMI? I'm too lazy to read the manual. :D

I assume its more of a built in adapter then, wish my 8800 had one so i wouldn't have to buy one. God i hope these things last through the weekend...depending on how work goes i might just be ading a new screen to the family.

Yes, if you use the HDMI port you'll lose one of your DVI outputs.

I got mine today and just set it up. It is amazing looking. No dead pixels as far as i can tell and the speakers do not suck as bad as i thought they would. Def worth the price. You can not tell it is refurb. I am using VGA and it looks great

Just use a dvi to hdmi adapter on the video card. You can get them as a single cable solution too (I had been using one for 2 years in my living room for HD playback from a PC (DVI) to a 42" LCD (HDMI)). Definitely not a deal buster, especially when many monitors are skipping the hdmi conenction nowadays and that trend is likely to continue as HDMI takes over as the standard.
