I have a laptop, and lately I've been keeping a closer eye on the temperatures on the CPU and other areas using a program called HWMonitor. You guys know your stuff with temperatures and whatnot, so I figure this is one of the better places to ask.

I understand that the Core #0 and Core #1 are the different cores in my CPU, and I'm assuming the ST9250320AS is the Hard Drive. But what is that first temperature? The "THRM"? And why is it almost 15 degree's hotter then everything else? The image looks like a monitor, but my monitor doesn't feel that hot... graphics card perhaps?

Is there anything I can do to keep it cooler (outside of getting a laptop cooling pad or buying a new laptop or buying better AC in my house or buying multiple refrigerators to open the doors and surround my laptop at all times)?

Thanks for any information. :)

THRM is an acronym that stands for thermal i believe it's just a temperature sensor on your motherboard chipset im pretty sure thats it

someone correct me if I'm wrong though

That sensor varies widely, on some mobos it's just a fixed number, in others it's in the southbridge, in others the northbridge, sometimes just in a random spot on the board.

The northbridge seems likely in this case.
