Has any one tried unlocking an XP using these?

I know the web site says "not for unlokcing XP" but wouldn't these work anyway? Granted that you fill the pits between the contact points. Right? I'm just wondering because this sounds a heck of alot easier then their XP unlocking kit.
There was a lot of talk about trace tapes the first couple of months the XPs came out & new ones were designed for them. They were sold for less than a week & then pulled because they just didnt work. I don't know if these ones work though. Unlocking kits, the few Ive seen posted in these forums, are dangerous IMO. FIll the pits with superglue then line them up with a conductive ink pen let dry then make the chip screem.

"Conductive ink pen" or "Circuit writer"
I've bought one from Radio shack online and one from Fry's electronics.
