Looking for some options or suggestions for upgrading to a SSD for my mostly Photoshopping rig(in my sig). I've got Windows 7 installed and want to add Ubuntu 9.10. Optimally, I'd like to use a toggle switch to switch between the drives/OS's before I boot. This would probably be a bit too expensive for me to pull off with SSD's, but I'm not sure. Originally, I was considering another WD caviar black, but having some time with the rig, I'm not really short on space and want the performance gain with the SSD's. At least for the OS's and Photoshop.

I have noticed a performance loss in Windows when installing Ubuntu on the same drive on a couple computers. This is one of the things I want to avoid.

I am not really familiar with any of the SSD options, but have read that I'll need at least an 80gb. What size and brands would you suggest? Should I go with one large or two small with toggle switch? Lets say the budget is to stay under $300.

how much storage space do you really need? If you could live with little storage, you could get 2 Intel 40GB X25-V drives.

I still have the 1tb WD Caviar, so probably very little storage would be needed. I was looking at those 40GB's. How do they perform vs the 80GB X25-M's?
