Hey,
I have a 4gb kit of Kingston Hyper X DDR2 1066mhz, though it will only run at 800mhz.
If i set it to 533mhz in bios, i will not get any display and i will have to clear CMOS.
It will run at 400mhz if set in bios
If i set it to auto in bios it will only run at 400mhz

Whats going on?

Cheers.

I assume the RAM is KHX8500D2K2/4G? If so, then manually adjust the four primary timings to 5-5-5-15-2T at 2.2 - 2.3V (all sub-timings set to Auto).

I could be mistaken but wouldn't it be because of your processor? You have an AM2 processor, which would have the ram running at 800, memory divider might fix that though.

Thanks for the replies, i do have an am2 processor (550BE)

I'll try changing the timings/voltages this afternoon

Thanks guys.
